Every great artist knows that creativity requires proper nourishment, so put down that dry and depressing supermarket sandwich, put away that packet of ready salted crisps and can of diet coke, and dramatically improve your lunch with our guide to the top 7 eating spots in Archway. Perfect for Short Course students studying at our Elthorne Road campus, and all only a 5 minute walk away.

7) Greggs

Archway is a bustling and multicultural part of London that is a bastion for international cuisines, from Indian curries to Korean bibimbap, but sometimes nothing beats that golden, flaky sausage roll from every Briton’s favourite bakery – Greggs. As I’m sure most of you have heard from the relentless media coverage, Greggs is also now serving a Vegan version of its iconic pastry, perfect for the hungry and poor, yet moral, young art student!

6) King of Falafel

Another slightly more budget option for when your funds are running low, and your stomach is running on empty. King of Falafel serves Lebanese food; from falafel and shawarma to halloumi and tabouleh, at student friendly prices it’s one we highly recommended.

5) Holloway Road Fruit & Veg

The perfect lunch spot for when you don’t want to rock the boat, this local organic and vegan grocery serves up all of the lunch time basics made with high quality ingredients, as well as freshly squeezed juices, coffee and tea. Grab a sandwich for lunch, and do your weekly shop straight after, choosing from their large selection of reasonably priced produce. A great spot for a vegan or vegetarian who feels like they don’t have many options!

4) Che Cosa

This cosy Italian restaurant is a great place to disappear from the busy streets. Serving all kinds of Italian classics from wood fired pizza to delicious cannoli – if you have a taste for Mediterranean food this restaurant is for you.

3) Shinobi Sushi

Feel like treating yourself for lunch? Shinobi Sushi is the best Japanese restaurant in town, serving modern Japanese cuisine with a speciality in sushi and sashimi dishes at very reasonable prices.

2) Loving Hut

Taking second place is the vegan and vegetarian Pan-Asian restaurant, Loving Hut. Serving a vast range of veganised versions of famous Asian dishes, from vegan ma po tofu to vegan aromatic duck; the Loving Hut is ideal for any vegan or veggie who craves more variety in their diet. Winner of Vegfest 2015’s best vegan restaurant award, this veggie haven will not let you down.

1) Go Bong

Finally, taking the top spot, is the amazing, inimitable, Go Bong. Part Korean grocers, part Korean restaurant, this cosy little place serves authentic and delicious Korean dishes at affordable prices. Spend your lunch break in front of a beautiful bowl of homemade Pork bibimbap, and take some homemade kimchi or pickles home afterwards! Definitely not to be missed, Go Bong is well deserving of the top spot on our Archway restaurants list. A firm favourite!
